Mobile Communication Solutions vs. Commodity Sales:
At MTI our number one goal is customer satisfaction.
Let MTI’s 25 years experience in mobile satellite communication be your solution.
MTI has GSA schedules for its Inmarsat A, B, and Thrane&Thrane’s Mini-M and M4 Terminals.
Since 1975 as a former group within COMSAT, Mobile Telesystems, Inc. (MTI) has provided more than 6000 Inmarsat terminals to most U.S. government agencies all military branches, and hundreds of customers in the commercial sector. Government and military agencies such as the White House, DOD, State Department, and NATO HQ for example, have used MTI’s terminals at almost every incident, including Grenada, Gulf War, Panama, Bosnia, Kosovo, the Y2K communication link between US and Russia, and recent UN interventions.
MTI is a privately owned small company, located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. MTI introduced the first Inmarsat-A land transportable terminal in 1985. MTI supplies its premier TCS-9700 land mobile terminal for high-speed data and/or ISDN applications. It allows easy access to the Internet and to ISDN telephone devices at 64 Kbps. MTI’s TCS-7700 is for applications of duplex high-speed data, as well as voice, fax and low speed data. It is the smallest, lightest (the total package is less than 39 lbs.), most rugged and reliable solution for transportable Inmarsat-B.
MTI also supplies the Thrane & Thrane Model 3060A Mini-M Satellite Phone. It operates with Inmarsat spot beam world wide, and weighs less than 5 lbs. The 3060A is equipped with a built-in battery and charger for true portable usage: up to 48 hours listen time and 2.5 hours talk time at 2.4 Kbps.
MTI provides the new INMARSAT M4 Global Area Network Terminals (GAN) from both Thrane and Thrane and Nera. The M4 is ISDN capable for LAN/WAN and Internet applications. The weight of each terminal is approximately 10 lbs. Since it requires specific configuration on a notebook PC to work with a M4, MTI can configure and pack both a notebook PC and M4 together in a hard case as a solution for your mobile office applications. MTI will also supply the Gemini-128, Inmarsat-M4 Dual High Speed Data Terminal with up to 128 Kbps data rates from late August 2000. The Antenna/Outdoor Unit is remoteable up to 500 ft away from the Control Console/Indoor Unit.
Not only does MTI provide land mobile terminals, but also provides Mobile VSAT for Raytheon Systems to meet your wideband application requirements. Its 1.2 M Ku band Collapsible Antenna is used for U.S. government and military agencies. The Mobile VSAT gives you an office without boundaries, connecting remote users to their office and Internet resources through encrypted TCP/IP communications. The setup time is in minutes rather than hours.
MTI also provides Video Conferencing Systems together with Aethra, Inc. so that mobile video communication becomes readily available. Finally, as a mobile communication provider, MTI also provides airtime from Comsat, Stratos, France Telecom, etc.
