128 Kbps ARCHITECTURE FOR ISDN AND INTERNET
The architecture of the GEMINI-128 is based on Glocom’s innovation Notebook-64 single-channel Inmarsat-M4 portable terminal. It uses the same compact, user friendly IDU/operator console combined with a dual-channel ODU/Antenna. The result is a compact, light-weight 128 kbps terminal with capabilities that far surpasses those of any other mobile satellite terminal.
DATA INTERFACING - @ ITS BEST
The GEMINI-128 accepts plug-in Interface and Configuration Cartridges (ICCs) for the both ISDN-ST (standard) and ISDN-U (optional). These cartridges not only provide the appropriate electrical interface and connector, but also automatically configure the terminal and negotiate the optimum transmission parameters with the distant node…eliminating the need for ISDN Terminal Adapters, special adapter cables, and protocol converters.
ANTENNA PLACEMENT AND POINTING - @ ITS BEST
This unique architecture of the GEMINI-128 locates all of the RF components in the
weatherproof antenna unit. The antenna cable carries no RF signals and can be up to 500
ft. (150m) long using industry standard CAT-5,/” in (6.4 mm) diameter cable.
Pointing the antenna is greatly simplified by a signal strength indicator built into the ODU. The operator can quickly and accurately point the antenna with no prior knowledge of the direction to the satellite.

Important functions at a single glance. The back lighted display includes a graphic aid that makes antenna pointing as simple as moving a cursor to your approximate location on a world map.
MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION - @ ITS BEST
The industrial design of the GEMINI-128 anticipates the severe environments typical of mobile satellite applications. Magnesium alloy castings are used for housing both the IDU and ODU to obtain industrial-grade durability without excessive weight. The ODU housing is completely sealed to assure reliable operation during prolonged exposure to the elements.
R3 CUSTOMER SERVICE - @ ITS BEST
In order to assure that our customers are not without service for an extended period of time, Glocom and our Authorized Dealers have implemented a process for Rapid Replacement in lieu of repair – R3.
At any time during the warranty period the end-user has the option of wither returning a defective unit for repair under the standard warranty terms, or requesting the R3 option.
A near – new replacement unit will be shipped to you within 24 hours. The nominal fee for the R3 service covers refurbishment of the returned unit to near – new condition, and expedited shipped.
