MTI's M4-128 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The M4-128 is a portable, dual-channel Inmarsat-M4 satellite communications terminal providing voice and 128 kbps data services. The Antenna/Outdoor Unit is remoteable up to 500-ft (150m) away from the Control Console/Indoor Unit. The M4-128 features a Ruggedized AzDel case and storage compartment in the Outdoor Unit. It provides protection during outdoor operations, particularly in difficult environments.
ANTENNA PLACEMENT AND POINTING
The unique design of MTI's M4-128 locates all of the RF components in the Antenna/Outdoor Unit. The cable to the Control Console/Indoor Unit carries no RF signal and can be remoted up to 500ft. (150 m) away using industry standard CAT-5, (6.4mm) diameter cable. Pointing the antenna is greatly simplified by a signal indicator built into the ODU. The operator can quickly and accurately point the antenna with no prior knowledge of the direction to the satellite.
OPERATOR FRIENDLINESS
MTI's M4-128 has a large graphic display, which provides the operator with a clear picture of all the important functions at a single glance. The back lighted display includes a graphic aid that makes antenna pointing as simple as moving a cursor to your approximate location on a world map.
