KlasHopper is a revolutionary new mobile product that allows a laptop or desktop PC to connect to the Internet or corporate network at high speeds over satellite links. KlasHopper consists of a plug-and-play PC card and a cable. KlasHopper works with the TCS-7700. KlasHopper uses an advanced PCMCIA algorithm that provides very high throughput under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0. 

KlasHopper is a quality product designed with reliability and efficiency in mind. It incorporates an advanced data transfer algorithm that provides high throughput even under the most demanding PC conditions. It comes with a 1-year warranty on parts and free technical support. KLASHOPPER IS EASY TO USE

To use KlasHopper take the following steps:

1. Insert KlasHopper card into PC.
2. Attach KlasHopper cable to (Inmarsat or VSAT) satellite terminal.
3. Dial Internet or office LAN over HSD.
4. Logon to LAN or Internet.
5. Run web browser or networking software.
6. Communicate at 64kbit/s (or higher if using VSAT).

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

KlasHopper supports the following operating systems:

• Windows 95 and 98
• Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000

HARDWARE

KlasHopper requires the following minimum PC specification:

• Pentium 100 MHz
• 16 MB RAM
• 500 MB Hard Disk
• 3MB of free hard disk space.
• Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to 50°C
• Operating Humidity Range: 0 to 90% (non-condensing)

Ease of Use

• Mobile solution - one PC card and one cable. No external boxes or power supplies required.

Internet Access

• Supports all Internet applications such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and PointCast.
• Configure KlasHopper via Dial-up Networking in Windows 9X and RAS in Windows NT.
• Full TAPI support.
• PPP and Multilink PPP.

Networking Support

• Support all network protocols such as TCP/IP, NetBEUI and IPX/SPX.
• Supports LAN file redirection including Network Neighborhood and Remote Printing.
• NDIS 4.0 Compatible.
• Full Windows PPP support: PAP, CHAP, compression and encryption.
• Multi-user networked version: [NT Only] : Multi-user access across the LAN with IP forwarding.
• Dial-in Server support.

Satellite Terminals

• Supports Inmarsat B High Speed Data (HSD) terminals at 64kbit/s. Under Windows 9X with two KlasHopper cards and two terminals, 128kbit/s transfers are supported.
• Supports multiple hardware interfaces: RS-232, RS-442/449, X.21, V.35. RS-530A
• Designed for satellite transit delay - full efficiency.

Open System

• Access standard ISDN Internet accounts.
• Access standard ISDN LAN routers.
• Only required on the satellite side: supports standard equipment on remote end.
• PPP (Synchronous).

Throughput

• Synchronous only - no async cards or serial ports required.
• Full Duplex send and receive for demanding Internet and Intranet applications.
• Full 32-bit device driver for high speed transfers.
